Replikanto 1.7.1.0 was released on October 9, 2026. This article answers "what's new in the latest Replikanto version?" and "should I update?": it summarizes the 17 changes of 1.7.1.0 (one new feature, follower groups, 4 improvements and 9 fixes) and what to know before and after you update. The complete list is in the Replikanto 1.7.1.0 release notes. For 1.7.0.0 and 1.7.0.1, see the Replikanto 1.7.0.0 release notes.
At a glance
- Version: 1.7.1.0, released October 9, 2026. It follows 1.7.0.1 (October 2, 2026) and 1.7.0.0 (September 30, 2026, the main 1.7 release).
- Main change: follower groups. The Follower Accounts list can group accounts by broker connection, or into custom groups you choose, each under a header you can expand or collapse. The header shows the group's status, PnL, positions and average price, and has buttons to act on the whole group.
- Nothing changes for you if you do not use groups. Group followers by connection is off by default, and until you turn it on or create a custom group the Follower Accounts list looks exactly as before. Groups only apply what you click; they do not change how followers are sized or copied.
- Also in 1.7.1.0: the Follower Guard waits up to about 30 seconds for NinjaTrader to settle a non-Rithmic follower's position before it flattens it, clearer Log lines for follower exits left after an OCO fill and for a Flatten that is waiting on an order, a grey selected row, and 9 fixes.
- Requirement: NinjaTrader 8.1.6 or later, as for every 1.7 version.
- How to get it: if you run 1.7.0.0 or 1.7.0.1, click Update now when the update notification appears. If you run 1.6.1.7 or older, install the latest version (1.7.1.0) manually one time (see Before and after you update).
New feature: follower groups
Four items of the release notes describe the same feature. The step-by-step articles for it are Follower groups in Replikanto: by connection or custom, Apply a setting to a whole follower group at once, Flatten or Rearm a whole follower group and Create, edit and delete custom follower groups.
Follower groups in 1.7.1.0. 1 = the + / - button of a group (here Prop firms), 2 = group name and number of accounts, 3 = status circle of the Simulation header (the dashed ring means its accounts do not all have the same status: Sim104 is Off), 4 = combined Position, Avg. price and PnL of Prop firms (5 contracts, $105.00), 5 = the Rearm button, which appears next to the name while the group has a Disarmed account (DT, in Live), and the Flatten button of the group. The selected row (APX-001) is grey.
Two kinds of group
- By connection. Turn on Group followers by connection (right-click inside the Follower Accounts grid, or Properties... > General). Replikanto lists the followers under one header per broker connection. The option is off by default and is set separately for each tab.
- Custom groups. Choose any accounts, from any connection, and name the group (for example Prop firms) with the right-click menu items Add to group, New group..., Edit group..., Rename group..., Remove from group, Delete group and Delete all custom groups.... An account belongs to at most one custom group, and a custom group wins over the connection grouping.
Each group has a header row that you can expand or collapse; Expand all groups and Collapse all groups are in the same right-click menu.
What the group header shows and does
- Status. The header shows the most important status of its accounts: Disarmed first, then Out of Sync, On and Off. A dashed ring means the accounts of the group do not all have the same status.
- Totals. Combined PnL, positions and weighted average price of the group. They count only the accounts that are not Off.
- One click for the whole group. A click on the header's status turns the group on or off. When some accounts are Off, it turns those on; when none can be turned on, it turns them all Off, Out of Sync and Disarmed ones included. Turning on never re-arms a Disarmed account; use Rearm. The ATM Copy, Market Only and Cross Order cells, and the number of the active copy method (Ratio, %, Pre Allocation), apply to every account of the group.
- Accounts in a trade are skipped. For ATM Copy, Market Only, Cross Order and the copy method number, an account that is in a trade is left as it is and listed in a message and in the Log tab (Warning [1124]), the same protection as the in-trade settings lock. The Status click and Flatten are not skipped for accounts in a trade.
Flatten and Rearm for a group
- Flatten (the x on the group header) closes the positions and cancels the working orders of the accounts of that group on the leader's instrument. It asks for confirmation first (the default answer is No); there is no question only when there is nothing to flatten. It also closes accounts that are Off, never closes the leader, and does not flatten followers on remote nodes. A Disarmed account is re-armed afterwards only if its position reads flat; otherwise it stays Disarmed with a Warning [1125] in the Log tab.
- Rearm re-arms only the Disarmed accounts of the group that are flat, and lists the ones it left Disarmed. It sends no order. The button appears only while the group has a Disarmed account.
Saving, Export/Import and older versions
- Custom groups, which headers are expanded or collapsed and the Group followers by connection option are saved with the workspace.
- Export and Import of the follower list keep each follower's custom group (an optional last field of the file). Only custom groups are exported, not the connection grouping, and only for accounts that have a row in the list.
- If you open the workspace in a version older than 1.7.1.0 and save it, the groups are dropped. Followers and their settings stay. To go back to an older version, Export the follower list first, and Import it after you update again.
Improvements
- Follower Guard waits for NinjaTrader to settle the position. On a follower that is not on Rithmic, before the two timers Flatten the follower if it becomes out of sync and Flatten the follower if its position is in the opposite direction flatten it, Follower Guard now waits, up to about 30 seconds, for NinjaTrader to finish applying the follower's latest fills and orders, instead of acting on a position update still on its way. While it waits, the Log tab shows an Info [1119] line (once per episode). If NinjaTrader still has not settled the position after the wait, the Follower Guard acts on the position NinjaTrader shows, and the Log tab shows a Warning [1120] ("as it did before 1.7.1.0"); check that follower against the broker. Rithmic followers keep the broker re-read instead. Flatten All, the row's x button and the Close copied from the leader keep their own wait of about 5 seconds. Details: Follower Guard: Overview and Follower position inverted (opposite direction to the leader).
- Grey selected row. The selected row in Replikanto's grids is now grey, like in NinjaTrader's own grids, instead of blue. Cosmetic only; screenshots from older versions show a blue row.
- Clearer warning for a follower exit left after an OCO fill. When a follower exit is still live 30 seconds after its OCO sibling filled on the leader, the Log tab now separates the cases: Warning [1116] when the exit is live on a follower that is flat (if it fills, it opens a new position) or on the side the follower already holds (if it fills, it adds to that position); Warning [1117] for the other cases that need a look, including an exit larger than the follower's position; and an Info [1118] line when the order is already being cancelled or is still the exit protecting an open position. Replikanto does not cancel the order itself: check the follower's orders and cancel it by hand if it should not be there.
- Log lines for a Flatten that is waiting on an order. NinjaTrader's Flatten first cancels the orders still working, including a market order still in flight, and closes only after the broker confirms the cancel. The Log tab now says so with an Info line ("Flatten found N market order(s) still in flight on this account and instrument."), and writes Warning [1121] when, 8 seconds after the Flatten, no close order has appeared and the position is still open on the same side. Check the position at the broker before closing by hand, because the close may still be on its way. Replikanto does not repeat the Flatten. Details: Position Won't Close: "Close operation failed. Operation timed out".
Fixes
- ATM Copy that fails to start. When NinjaTrader failed to start a follower's ATM Copy strategy, the follower's entry could stay live without any strategy. Starting with 1.7.1.0, an entry that NinjaTrader already sent and that is still working is cancelled (for a partly filled entry, only the unfilled part). If NinjaTrader had not submitted the entry yet, nothing is cancelled: check the Orders tab. If the entry filled, or the cancel is refused, the Log tab shows Error [1115] and Replikanto does not close the position: protect or close it by hand. The start failure itself is Error [1112] or Error [1114]. Details: How to enable and use ATM Copy in Replikanto.
- Rithmic: leader order update not copied. Fixed a rare case where an update to a leader order on a Rithmic connection was not copied to any follower.
- Disarmed e-mail alert. Fixed the e-mail alert for a Disarmed follower not being sent when Windows could not open the Disarmed pop-up (Warning [1122] in the Log tab).
- Warning [1100] repeated in the Log. After a failed Rithmic position re-read, the Follower Guard's periodic check and the ATM bracket check asked the broker again every half second or so, which could fill the Log tab with Warning [1100]. They now pause for 30 seconds after a failed re-read. A Flatten still re-reads the position before it acts. Details: Rithmic phantom positions: NinjaTrader shows a position already closed.
- Error [1079] versus Error [1113]. Error [1079] ("the follower's ATM strategy never created its bracket") was also written when the bracket had been created and then rejected or cancelled. That case is now reported as Error [1113]; Error [1079] means no bracket was ever created. Either way, protect or close that follower's position by hand.
- Market Only and the leader's Close. The Log tab said a leader Close was mirrored to Market Only followers as a market order. Those followers were flattened, as before; the Log line now says so. Details: Market Only: Copy Market Orders (Executions) only.
- Flatten (x) button without a leader instrument. Fixed an error when clicking a follower's Flatten (x) button while the tab had no leader instrument yet.
- Window freezing and Warning [1076]. Fixed a Replikanto window freezing for up to two seconds, with a Warning [1076] in the Log tab, when a tab that does not use Network Node Mode closed while a workspace with several Replikanto windows was loading.
- Error [1077] when closing NinjaTrader. Fixed an Error [1077] in the NinjaTrader Log tab that appeared when closing NinjaTrader.
Before and after you update
- From 1.7.0.0 or 1.7.0.1: click Update now when the update notification appears, then restart NinjaTrader, preferably with no open positions or working orders. Your workspace, followers and settings are kept.
- From 1.6.1.7 or older: install the latest Replikanto manually one time. First check that NinjaTrader is 8.1.6 or later (Control Center > Help > About). Download the latest .zip (1.7.1.0) from your FlowBots downloads page and import it (Tools > Import > NinjaScript Add-On...), as described in How to update FlowBots add-ons in NinjaTrader. The notes of the 1.7.0.0 release apply too (see the Replikanto 1.7.0.0 release notes).
- Update every computer. If you copy to remote followers over the local network or the internet, update Replikanto on those computers too, and keep the leader and every remote follower on the same Replikanto version.
- Going back to an older version drops the groups. Opening and saving the workspace in a version older than 1.7.1.0 loses the follower groups. Export the follower list first (the file keeps each follower's custom group) and Import it after updating again. Details: How can I downgrade a FlowBots product/add-on?
- Nothing to switch on. No setting changes by itself. Groups appear only after you turn on Group followers by connection or create a custom group.
Frequently asked questions
Do I have to change any settings?
No. If you do not use follower groups, the Follower Accounts list stays a flat list.
Does 1.7.1.0 change how my followers are sized or copied?
No. Groups organize the list and let you act on several accounts at once; every follower is still copied with its own ratio, status and settings. Nothing changes by itself: a group applies only what you click.
Is the group list on by default?
No. Group followers by connection is off by default, so a workspace saved before the update looks the same after it.
Does the Follower Guard never flatten on a late position update now?
It waits, but not forever. On a non-Rithmic follower it waits up to about 30 seconds for NinjaTrader to settle the position before the out-of-sync and opposite-direction flattens; after that it acts on the position NinjaTrader shows and writes Warning [1120].
