Why don't new accounts appear in Replikanto's follower list?

This article explains why an account that NinjaTrader shows can be missing from Replikanto's Follower Accounts list, and how to make it appear.

Symptoms

New accounts show up in NinjaTrader but don't appear on Replikanto's follower selection screen (where you toggle accounts on and off).

Solution

This happens when Replikanto was already open when the new accounts were added. Replikanto reloads its account list shortly after any NinjaTrader connection changes status (connects, disconnects or reconnects). An account that is added while its connection stays connected is not picked up until the next connection status change.

To make new accounts appear:

1. In the NinjaTrader Control Center, disconnect the connection that holds the new accounts and connect it again. The accounts should appear in the follower list a moment after the connection is back.
2. If they still don't appear, close all Replikanto windows.
3. Restart NinjaTrader.
4. Reopen Replikanto (New > FlowBots > Replikanto).

The new accounts should now appear on the follower selection screen.

Accounts missing right after NinjaTrader starts

In versions before Replikanto 1.7.0.0, a rare fault could leave some accounts out of the Follower Accounts list when NinjaTrader started with the broker already connected (for example, with the connection set to connect automatically on startup). This is fixed in Replikanto 1.7.0.0; update if you still run an older version. On an older version, disconnect and reconnect the connection, or close and reopen the Replikanto window, to reload the list.

If an Account Still Doesn't Appear

If an account still doesn't appear after restarting, check the connection:

• Account not connected: Open the Accounts tab in NinjaTrader's Control Center and confirm the account is listed with an active connection. Replikanto only lists accounts from a live connection, so an account that is not connected will not show as a follower until it is.

Prevention

After adding new accounts in NinjaTrader, reconnect their connection or restart Replikanto to refresh the account list. This ensures all available accounts appear in the follower selection screen.
