How to stop copying to follower accounts during a trade
Replikanto mirrors everything the leader account does, including price changes to its exit orders. If you want to keep holding a position on your personal Live account (the leader) after your prop firm accounts (the followers) have exited, turn those followers off so they stop receiving what the leader does next.
Steps
- In the Replikanto window, turn off the followers you want to separate from the leader: switch off Follower for each of those accounts in the Follower Accounts table, or click Toggle off (next to the Follower Accounts title) to turn off all selected followers at once.
- From that moment, those followers no longer receive copied trades from the leader. Turning a follower off does not close its open position and does not cancel its working exit orders (Stop Loss and Take Profit): they stay working on the prop account, and Replikanto no longer cancels them or moves their prices when the leader changes its own orders. Manage the prop account yourself: close its position and cancel any remaining exit orders when you want it out.
- Keep managing the position on your Live account (leader) for as long as you want. Changes to the leader's orders are not copied to the followers that are off.
How to turn copying back on
- After you close the position on your Live account, switch Follower back on for each account, or click Toggle on if you used Toggle off. Toggle on only restores the accounts that Toggle off turned off; if you turned a follower on or off by hand in the meantime, turn the others back on by hand.
- New trades from the leader are copied to those followers again.
Important considerations
- Turning a follower on or off is always available, even while that follower has an open position or a working order.
- You do not need to disconnect any account to stop or resume copying.
- The leader account always continues trading normally, regardless of follower settings.
