This article explains how to verify whether a remote client copier has successfully received and processed trades from a Replikanto leader. You'll learn what the visual indicators mean, what they don't guarantee, and how to troubleshoot remote copy issues.

Understanding the visual indicators
When you use Replikanto's remote copy feature, trades are sent to another machine running Replikanto — whether on your local network or anywhere in the world. After each trade is sent, the Replikanto window shows a color indicator next to each remote node:
The nodes are listed at the bottom of the Replikanto window, under Replikanto Nodes: 1 = nodes on your local network (Node IP), 2 = nodes over the internet (Remote Replikanto ID). Both grids use the same colors; here 192.168.0.21 is red.
- Red indicator: The last trade sent did not reach the remote node (it was not received or the node returned an error)
- Green indicator: The remote node is receiving trades sent by the leader
- Gray indicator: The node is switched off; the leader does not send trades to it
These colors appear immediately after a trade is sent, giving you real-time feedback on the connection status between your leader and remote clients.
Important limitations of the green indicator
A green indicator confirms that the trade was sent to the Replikanto remote client, but it does not guarantee that the trade was submitted to the follower accounts on that remote machine. The green light only tells you the communication worked — not what happened next.
The trade may not reach follower accounts if:
- The remote client isn't actively copying to follower accounts
- The remote client doesn't have the same instrument configured as the leader
- Follower accounts on the remote machine are disconnected or have errors
- Other issues prevent the remote client from submitting trades to its followers
Bottom line: If you see green after sending a trade, you know the trade reached the remote Replikanto client. To verify follower accounts received it, you'll need to check those accounts directly or review the remote client's logs.
Troubleshooting remote copy issues
If the node stays red
A red indicator means the last trade did not reach the remote node. Replikanto does not resend that trade; it keeps sending the next trades to the node and turns it green again as soon as one gets through. Check:
- Network connectivity between leader and remote machine
- Replikanto is running on the remote machine
- Remote copy configuration is correct on both ends
- Firewall or security settings aren't blocking the connection
If the node turns green but trades aren't copied
When you see green but follower accounts don't receive trades, the issue is on the remote client side:
- Verify the remote client is actively copying to follower accounts
- Check that the same instrument is configured on the remote client
- Review follower account connections and status on the remote machine
- Look for errors in the remote client's logs or interface
- If the remote client uses a Remote Leader Filter (Properties), check that it names this leader's Leader Replikanto ID and Leader Account Name: a filter set to another leader makes the remote client ignore the trade even though the node is green here
The Replikanto window on the remote client (here in Remote Node Mode): 1 = the node mode is on (checked); 2 = the same instrument as the leader (ES 12-26), since trades for any other instrument are ignored; 3 = only the follower accounts switched on (green) copy the trade.
