Yes. Rithmic and Tradovate are two different connection providers, so NinjaTrader can hold a connection to each one at the same time, and Replikanto will copy trades between all of the accounts under them.
How the connection actually works
Accounts are not connected to Replikanto directly — they are connected to NinjaTrader, and Replikanto simply uses whatever NinjaTrader is connected to. If an account shows up in NinjaTrader, it shows up in Replikanto, and it can be used as a lead account or as a follower account.
So the question of "can Replikanto copy between my Rithmic and my Tradovate accounts?" is really the question of "can NinjaTrader connect to both at the same time?" — and it can, once Multi-Provider Mode is enabled.
Enable Multi-Provider Mode
Multi-Provider Mode is what lets a single NinjaTrader hold more than one broker connection at once. To turn it on:
- In the NinjaTrader Control Center, open the Tools menu and select Options.
- In the General section, check the box next to Multi-provider, then click OK.
- Restart NinjaTrader so the change is fully applied.
- After the restart, a configure button appears under Connections in the Control Center, letting you create each of your connections manually.
More detail is in What is the NinjaTrader Multi-Provider setting? and in the NinjaTrader Multi-Provider connection guide.
Once both connections are up, all of the accounts behind them appear in Replikanto, and you can pick a lead account and link followers across providers — a Rithmic account can lead Tradovate followers, or the other way around.
The one limit to know about: two Rithmic connections
Rithmic plus Tradovate is fine. What is not possible is running two or more Rithmic connections on the same machine — the Rithmic API allows only one connection per machine. The same applies to CQG.
Note that this limit is at the broker connection level, not the individual account level. A single Rithmic connection can carry up to 20 accounts, and every one of those accounts appears in Replikanto automatically once NinjaTrader is connected. So having many Rithmic accounts is not a problem — having many separate Rithmic logins is.
If you need two Rithmic connections
- Consolidate the credentials. Contact your broker and ask them to place your accounts under a single set of Rithmic login credentials. Once consolidated, all of the accounts appear under one connection in NinjaTrader and in Replikanto.
- Use remote copy over a local network. If the credentials cannot be merged, run each connection on its own machine and copy between them. This is the fastest option and is free to use, as long as each machine has its own Replikanto license.
- Use remote copy over the internet. The same feature works between machines in different locations. Because it relies on servers around the world, this method consumes credits.
Need help connecting?
The connection itself is handled by NinjaTrader, so their team are the right people to evaluate whether your setup and license support the connections you need. You can reach them at support@ninjatrader.com. Once the accounts are connected in NinjaTrader, Replikanto will copy trades between all of them.
