Yes, you can be both a remote follower and a remote leader simultaneously, creating a chain where you receive trades from one remote leader and forward them to your own followers. However, this forwarding ability depends on your remote leader's Block Copy settings.
Understanding the Forwarding Restriction
When you receive trades from a remote leader, you can only resend (forward) these trades to other followers if the remote leader is not using the Block Copy feature.
The Block Copy feature is designed to prevent signal reselling — it stops trades from being received and then redistributed to other followers, whether local or remote. This protects the original trade signal from being forwarded without permission.
How Block Copy Affects Your Setup
If your remote leader has Block Copy enabled, Replikanto will not allow you to forward their trades to your own followers. This restriction applies to:
- Local followers on your machine
- Remote followers connected to you over the Internet
- Any third-party accounts or people
How to Verify Your Ability to Forward Trades
To confirm whether you can forward trades from your remote leader to your followers:
- Contact your remote leader directly
- Ask if they have Block Copy enabled ("Block copying of submitted trades")
- If Block Copy is disabled, you can forward their trades to your followers
- If Block Copy is enabled, you will not be able to forward their trades
