This article covers the most common reasons Replikanto doesn't show your follower accounts, and how to fix each one: NinjaTrader's Global Simulation Mode, a missing or disconnected broker connection, and an expired futures contract subscription.
Quick Checklist
- No accounts show up in Replikanto at all → check Global Simulation Mode below.
- Accounts don't show up in NinjaTrader's own Accounts tab → check your broker connection below.
- Accounts show up in NinjaTrader but Replikanto shows no data next to them → check the expired futures contract section below.
Cause 1: NinjaTrader Global Simulation Mode Is Enabled
One cause of not seeing follower accounts is that your NinjaTrader Global Simulation Mode may be activated:
Turn it off and the Replikanto followers will show up. See NinjaTrader's Global Simulation Mode help guide for details.
Cause 2: Broker Connection Missing or Disconnected
If the accounts do not appear in the Accounts tab of the NinjaTrader Control Center at all, this is a broker connection issue.
Kinetick Is Not a Broker Connection
Kinetick is NinjaTrader's market data service and only provides simulation accounts (like Sim101). If you only see Kinetick in your Connections window, your actual broker connection is missing. Prop firm accounts (Apex, TopStep, etc.) use Rithmic or other broker connections, not Kinetick.
Step 1: Check Your Broker Connection Status
In NinjaTrader Control Center, click the Connections menu at the top. Look for your actual broker connection (e.g., Rithmic, Tradovate, or your prop firm's connection), not Kinetick. Check the status:
- Connected (green) — the connection is active.
- Disconnected (red) — the connection is inactive.
- Not configured — the connection has not been set up.
Step 2: Try Reconnecting Manually
If the connection shows as disconnected:
- Right-click on the connection.
- Select Connect.
- Enter your credentials if prompted.
- Check if the accounts appear in the Accounts tab after connecting.
Step 3: Add a Missing Broker Connection
If your broker connection is completely missing from the Connections list (you only see Kinetick):
- Contact your prop firm or broker support to get connection credentials for NinjaTrader (username, password, server).
- In NinjaTrader Control Center, go to the Connections menu and click Configure.
- Click Add to create a new connection.
- Select your broker (e.g., Rithmic for Apex accounts) from the list.
- Enter the credentials provided by your broker.
- Save and connect.
A missing or disconnected broker connection is especially common if you recently reinstalled NinjaTrader (connections need to be set up again), your broker made platform changes, or your accounts were reset or moved. Once the accounts appear in NinjaTrader's Accounts tab, Replikanto will show them all automatically.
Cause 3: Expired Futures Contract (Subscription Aborted)
If accounts are visible in NinjaTrader's Accounts tab but Replikanto shows no data beside them, check the NinjaTrader Log tab (Control Center > Log) for errors like subscription to instrument has been aborted. This usually means the futures contract you're tracking has expired and you need to roll over to the current front-month contract.
Index futures such as ES and NQ roll quarterly, in March, June, September, and December. Update your charts and workspaces to use the current front-month contract, and Replikanto will display your account data again once valid market data is available.
