Why is my trade doubled/tripled on the Replikanto follower?

If you're seeing that your trades are being doubled or tripled in the follower accounts, work through the checks below in order — the cause is almost always some form of duplication in your own setup, and each check narrows down where it's coming from.

Checks 1 and 2: when a second Replikanto window opens, in the same workspace or in another open workspace, Replikanto shows this warning with the number of windows and the workspaces they are in. It appears once per NinjaTrader session and can be turned off with Don't show this message again, so not seeing it does not rule out a second window. Two tabs in the same window don't raise it.

1. Multiple Replikanto windows or tabs: Verify there isn't another Replikanto window or tab open using the same instrument. Check both the leader and follower computers for minimized windows by hovering the mouse over the NinjaTrader icon in the Windows taskbar or system tray.
2. Duplicate workspaces: If you don't find another Replikanto window using the same instrument, check whether another NinjaTrader workspace is open with Replikanto running in it. Close any duplicate windows you find and try again.
3. Test with a limit order: If you still see trade duplication, place a limit order at a distance from the current bid/ask price so it isn't filled immediately. Check the NinjaTrader Orders tab to see how many orders are being copied to each follower — two or more orders on the same follower account for a single leader order means another Replikanto window or tab is still making copies.
4. Multiple broker connections: Connecting your broker account two or more times using different broker connections in NinjaTrader causes order and execution events to fire more than once, so Replikanto hears each event multiple times and doubles or triples the copy. Make sure you have only one broker connection active for your broker account in NinjaTrader.
5. Another trade copier running at the same time: If you have both Replikanto and a third-party trade copier (for example, Copy Trader) installed on the same NinjaTrader, running more than one copier at once can produce duplicate orders. Disable the other copier before running Replikanto, and vice versa.
6. Pre-Allocation with OCO bracket orders (ATM strategy): When you use the Pre-Allocation method with a quantity of 1 and the leader places an entry order with an OCO bracket (for example, a stop and a profit target), Replikanto copies all three orders to the follower — 1 contract each. The follower enters 1 contract but then receives two exit orders (1 contract each). When the first exit fills and closes the position, the second exit order opens a new 1-contract position with no bracket attached. To avoid this, enable ATM Copy and place orders from NinjaTrader Desktop. With ATM Copy enabled, the follower manages its own exit orders using the NinjaTrader ATM Strategy instead of copying them from the leader.

The limit-order test (check 3) in the NinjaTrader Orders tab: 1 = the single leader order on Sim101; 2 = two working copies of it on the follower Sim102. One copy per follower is normal; two mean another Replikanto window or tab is also copying.

As a final check, close every Replikanto window and run the limit-order test again — the order should not be copied to the followers. If it still is, another Replikanto instance is running somewhere, and you'll need to find and close it. If none of these steps resolve the issue, contact support for further assistance.
