Why are trades being copied to accounts that are turned off?

This article explains why Replikanto may appear to copy trades to a follower account that is not turned on (grey circle in the On column), and how to find the source of the unexpected copy.

What is actually happening

Replikanto will not copy trades to accounts that are not turned on. What may be happening is that there are other Replikanto windows or tabs configured for the same instrument and the same leader account, with the follower turned on (green circle in the On column). Trades are then being copied from another Replikanto window or tab that the trader is not aware of.

The tab you are looking at: 1 = Sim103 is Off in this tab (grey circle in the On column), 2 = a second ES 12-26 tab in the same Replikanto window.

Check for other Replikanto windows

1. Place the mouse over the NinjaTrader icon in the Windows task bar.
2. Review all the windows that are open in NinjaTrader and look for Replikanto.
3. If you find another Replikanto that is copying, close it and test again.

Check for other tabs in the current window

1. If there are no other Replikanto windows, look at the additional tabs in the current window.
2. Find the tab that is making the copy.
3. Close that tab and try again.

The other tab: 1 = the second ES 12-26 tab, 2 = the same instrument (ES 12-26) and Leader Account (Sim101) as the first tab, 3 = Sim103 turned On here (green circle). This is the tab that copies Sim101's trades to Sim103.

Confirm the copy has stopped

1. Place a limit order away from the price.
2. Check the Orders tab of the NinjaTrader Control Center to make sure the copy has not been made.
