TradingView/Tradovate market orders not copying (NinjaTrader 8.1.4.0)

Problem Description

Market orders placed from Tradovate or NinjaTrader accounts outside of the NinjaTrader Desktop environment may not be copied to Replikanto followers. This includes orders submitted from external platforms such as:

• TradingView
• Web Tradovate
• Other third-party trading interfaces

When these orders are placed, they do not appear in the NinjaTrader Desktop Orders tab. As a result, Replikanto cannot copy them to follower accounts because the market orders are not present within the NinjaTrader environment after being submitted externally.

Affected Versions

This issue was identified in NinjaTrader version 8.1.4.0, released on December 17, 2024. The issue was tracked by NinjaTrader under reference ID NT-24005.

Solution

NinjaTrader released version 8.1.4.1 on December 20, 2024, which addresses this issue. To resolve the problem:

1. Update your NinjaTrader to version 8.1.4.1 or later
2. Restart NinjaTrader after the update completes
3. Verify that external market orders now appear in the Orders tab

Verification

After updating, test the fix by placing a market order from your external trading platform (e.g., TradingView or Web Tradovate) and confirming that it appears in the NinjaTrader Desktop Orders tab and is copied to your Replikanto followers.
