Initial Steps
When Ninjatrader is unable to identify the instrument of trades being placed in TradingView, the following errors start appearing in the logs:
2025-01-XX XX:XX:XX:XXX|3|32|Order '123456789101112' received for unknown symbol ''
2025-01-XX XX:XX:XX:XXX|2|32|An execution for unknown symbol '' was received. Check your symbol map.
When this happens, the add-ons, whether ours or those of third parties, don't work properly because without NinjaTrader's identification of the symbol, the trade can't be identified and the copy to the followers doesn't occur, leaving their accounts out of sync.
As this is related to the NinjaTrader software. For the best assistance, I kindly recommend contacting their support team at support@ninjatrader.com. They are well-equipped to help you resolve this issue.
Once this problem has been resolved, Replikanto will copy the transactions as normal. Unfortunately, we depend on the correct functioning of the NinjaTrader software, which is not helping with these issues.
Extra Steps
We would advise you try resetting your instruments as well. To reset your instruments:
- Disconnect from any active connections in the Control Center > Connections dropdown
- Go to the Control Center > Tools > Database Management window
- Under the “Update instruments” section, ensure the “General properties”, "Futures expiries" and “Symbol mappings” options are checked and then click 'Update'
- Restart NinjaTrader, and then test for this behavior again
We would like to make clear that no NinjaTrader add-on running on NinjaTrader is responsible for matching trade symbols. The responsibility for that lies with the NinjaTrader tool. If this still does not work, you will need to contact a NinjaTrader support agent to report the problem, the NinjaTrader AI support agent is currently unable to handle this particular issue.
