Any hardware change alters the Machine ID generated by NinjaTrader that is used to link your license of our products to your machine. When this happens, you need to update the Machine ID on our website. Here's the complete process:
Step 1: Confirm your User Defined ID in NinjaTrader
- Open NinjaTrader Control Center
- Go to Help > 3rd party licensing
- Enter FlowBots as the Vendor Name (capital F and B)
- Set your User Defined ID (the value that was previously registered on your license)
- Click Submit, then close the window with the X button
- Restart NinjaTrader
Step 2: Update your Machine ID on the website
- After restarting, go back to Help > 3rd party licensing and copy the full Signed Machine ID (it should end with
-YourUserDefinedID) - Go to your Machine ID Manager
- Log in, remove the old Machine ID entry
- Paste your current Signed Machine ID (the full string including the
-UserDefinedIDsuffix) - Save and restart NinjaTrader once more
Important: The Signed Machine ID is created by NinjaTrader, and it is not the same as the plain Machine ID you may see elsewhere in NinjaTrader. You cannot type it in or build it by hand. Copy the exact value NinjaTrader shows right after you click Submit under the FlowBots vendor. Its first part is normally different from NinjaTrader's own Machine ID, and the full value must end with -YourUserDefinedID.
Note: After you click Change, the website locks the Machine ID field for about 2 hours before it will allow another change. If you need to update it again, please wait for the cooldown to pass.
