If you receive an "Import Failed" message during the installation of a FlowBots product due to duplicate methods, you should first remove the product from NinjaTrader before attempting the installation again.
Click OK and before trying to install again, remove the product from NinjaTrader.
Here are the steps to remove a NinjaScript FlowBots assembly:
- From the Control Center window, select Tools > Remove NinjaScript Assembly.
- Select the file(s) you want to remove. Possible files include Replikanto, ScalperTicket, AveragePrice, AveragePriceIndicator, or FlowBotsLibrary.
- Press the "Remove NinjaScript assembly" button.
- Note: Removing a NinjaScript assembly will not unload existing assemblies until you restart NinjaTrader. Do not import the same assemblies again until you have restarted NinjaTrader.
After removing the product, you can try the installation again. To install a FlowBots product, follow these steps:
- Download the .zip NinjaScript add-on file.
- Open NinjaTrader and go to Control Center > Tools > Import > NinjaScript Add-On....
- Select the downloaded .zip file.
- Accept any confirmation messages that appear.
- Restart NinjaTrader to complete the process.
Alternatively, you can manually install the product:
- Close NinjaTrader.
- Open the downloaded zip file and copy the .dll file(s) to the location in your computer: \Documents\Ninjatrader 8\bin\Custom.
- Click "Yes" to replace the old file.
- Open NinjaTrader and click "Yes" to all warning messages.
- Check if you have the latest product version.
If you continue to experience issues after following these steps, it may be helpful to compile the NinjaScript library. To do this:
- Open the NinjaScript Editor from the Control Center > New dropdown.
- Right-click in the background and choose "Compile".
- If errors appear, copy them or take a screenshot and send it to FlowBots support for assistance.
These errors can also arise when a third-party add-on is missing a Reference to its location, there is an old Reference specifying an out-of-date file location, or there are duplicate files with duplicate definitions.
