What is the Machine ID?
The machine ID is generated by NinjaTrader based on your PC's fundamental hardware and software configuration. Changes to the BIOS/UEFI version or Windows operating system updates can cause the machine ID to change. If your license is valid but you see an invalid license notification window when starting NinjaTrader, it indicates that the machine ID has changed.
Common causes of machine ID changes include:
- Windows updates
- BIOS or UEFI version changes
- Hardware upgrades or changes
- New NinjaTrader installations
- Installing NinjaTrader on a different computer
