Is there a free trial of Replikanto for NinjaTrader 8?

Yes. The Replikanto trade copier for NinjaTrader 8 has a free trial you can use before you buy. This article covers how long the trial lasts, what it includes, how to set it up, and what happens when you upgrade to a paid license.

How long the trial lasts

The free trial period is 7 calendar days. You can download the trial from the Replikanto product page.

What the trial includes

All the features of the licensed product, free of charge — with no exceptions and no reduced functionality.
Coverage for up to 2 machines: two different computers, each running its own copy of Replikanto. The second machine is optional — you opt in at checkout.
20 Submit credits for the Remote Mode feature.

Because the trial is not feature-limited, you can evaluate exactly the behaviour you would get after purchasing.

Recommended: test on Sim accounts during the trial, so you can confirm everything works exactly as you expect before going live.

You do not need an account first

There is no separate registration form to fill in before you start. Your FlowBots account is created for you during checkout, using the email address you provide. Use an address you can actually access — your account and your license are tied to it.

Registering your machines at checkout

Each computer needs its own Signed NinjaTrader Machine ID, and the trial order has a field for each one. The first field is required; the second is optional — fill it in only if you want to run the trial on a second machine.

On the first computer, open the NinjaTrader Control Center and click Help > 3rd party licensing.
In the Vendor Name field, enter FlowBots — capital F and capital B.
In the User Defined ID field, enter any text that identifies you or the machine, for example your first name, last name, or company name.
Press Submit just once, then copy the newly generated Signed Machine ID into the Signed Ninjatrader Machine ID 1 field on the checkout page.
Optional — second machine. If you want the trial on a second computer, repeat the same steps there and put its Signed Machine ID into the Signed Ninjatrader Machine ID 2 field. Leave that field blank to run the trial on one machine only.

Important: press Submit only once. If it is clicked more than 5 times, or after multiple NinjaTrader restarts, the NinjaTrader license server temporarily blocks your IP address and you have to wait 24 hours before trying again.
You can change a Machine ID after your first purchase in the logged area.

Testing leader and follower during the trial

If you registered a second Machine ID at checkout, the trial holds back no features, so you can run one Replikanto as the leader and the other as the follower and test remote copying between them:

The follower can receive and execute all signals sent by the leader.
A remote follower can receive trades from a leader during the 7-day trial period.
There are no limitations or reduced functionality while testing.

One trial per machine

The free trial can only be used once per Machine ID. NinjaTrader generates a Signed Machine ID that looks like 38E81B0FC6ED3C2536E7C164321724D9-YourName, and it is the hardware portion — the part before the dash — that checkout checks. Once a Machine ID has claimed a trial, it cannot claim another one.

This is a per-machine limit, not a per-customer limit. Two consequences follow:

Typing a new User Defined ID into NinjaTrader's 3rd Party Licensing dialog does not help. It only changes the part after the dash; the hardware portion before the dash stays exactly the same, so checkout keeps rejecting it no matter how many names you try.
If you have already used a trial on one machine, you can still start a trial on a genuinely different machine, because that machine has its own, different Machine ID.

If this machine has already used its trial and you want to keep using Replikanto here, purchase a licensed (paid) version instead.

Upgrading from the trial to a paid license

The transition is smooth and your setup is preserved:

You do not need to redo the Machine ID or any setup steps.
You do not need to reinstall. Restart NinjaTrader after the purchase if you already have the latest version installed; otherwise update to the latest version first.
You do not need a new license key — your trial converts to a full license automatically after purchase.
Your NinjaTrader settings and saved configurations are not affected.

Important: make the purchase from the same machine you used for the trial. If you purchase from a different machine, a license reset will be required.

After purchasing and restarting NinjaTrader, your license should activate automatically. If you see any license-related message or error, contact support with your order number.
