How Additional Machine Licenses Work
An additional machine license allows you to run Replikanto on more than one computer simultaneously. You can use it to:
- Run Replikanto on your desktop and laptop at the same time without changing Machine IDs
- Copy trades between multiple machines for redundancy or different trading setups
- Scale your trading operations across multiple computers
Important: A maximum of 6 additional machines is permitted per customer. This limit applies regardless of how many Replikanto licenses you purchase.
Replication Modes
Replikanto licenses—whether an additional machine or a full license—support two replication modes:
Local Account Replication
Replicate trades to local accounts on the same machine where Replikanto is running. This is useful for:
- Testing strategies on demo accounts before live trading
- Managing multiple account profiles on one computer
- Duplicating successful trades across your personal accounts
Remote Replication
Send trades to or receive trades from another Replikanto instance running on a different machine. This works via:
- Local Network: Multiple machines on the same network (e.g., home/office LAN)
- Internet: Machines in different locations connected via the Internet
Remote replication enables scenarios like:
- Running a master strategy on your desktop and copying trades to your laptop
- Distributing trades across multiple machines in different locations
- Creating redundant backup systems for critical trading operations
Each additional machine operates independently and can be configured to send, receive, or both send and receive trades depending on your setup.
