Can I use a Single license on two devices alternately?

Yes — a Single (one PC) Replikanto license can be used on two computers, but not by logging out on one and logging in on the other. Your license is bound to a NinjaTrader signed Machine ID, not to an account login, so switching computers means moving that Machine ID binding from one machine to the other.

Short answer

  • The Single (single PC) license is a “one at a time” license: only one machine may be active at a time.
  • There is no log out / log in step. You switch computers by changing the Machine ID linked to your license.
  • No additional purchase is needed to alternate between two computers.
  • A 2-hour cooldown applies between Machine ID changes, so plan your switches.

How to switch the license to the other computer

  1. Install the FlowBots product on the second machine: download the .zip NinjaScript add-on from the FlowBots downloads page, then in NinjaTrader use Tools > Import > NinjaScript Add-On... and restart NinjaTrader.
  2. Generate the signed Machine ID on that machine: in the NinjaTrader Control Center click Help > 3rd party licensing, type FlowBots as the Vendor Name (capital F and B), fill in a User Defined ID, press Submit once, and copy the signed Machine ID that appears.
  3. Update the binding: open the FlowBots Machine ID Manager, enter the new signed Machine ID, and submit the change.
  4. Restart NinjaTrader on that machine so the license change takes effect.

What happens during the switch

The transfer is an immediate online process:

  1. Your license is unregistered from the previous Machine ID.
  2. Your license is registered to the new Machine ID.
  3. The change takes effect immediately.

The 2-hour cooldown in practice

  • After each Machine ID change you must wait 2 hours before making another one.
  • This means you can move between a desktop and a laptop, but you cannot switch back and forth within the same 2-hour window.
  • There is no fixed limit on how many times you can transfer — only the 2-hour interval between transfers.

Do my Replikanto credits move with the license?

Yes. Replikanto credits are tied to the Machine ID, and when you update your Machine ID in the Machine ID Manager the credits are transferred automatically to the new Machine ID. No separate credit transfer is required.

If you need both computers running at the same time

Alternating with a Single license only covers one active machine at a time. To run Replikanto on two computers simultaneously — for example a desktop and a laptop, or to copy trades between machines — you need an additional machine license. When you would do this

  • Alternating between a desktop and a laptop.
  • Moving to a new computer.
  • Reformatting your current computer or reinstalling NinjaTrader.
  • A Windows update, a BIOS/UEFI version change or a hardware upgrade changed your Machine ID.

If the switch does not work

  • Check that the signed Machine ID you entered is correct and that your internet connection is stable.
  • Confirm you are outside the 2-hour cooldown from your previous change.
