ATM Copy Requires the Same ATM Strategy on All Nodes

When using the ATM Copy feature in Replikanto (for both internet-based Remote Copy and local network copying), the same ATM Strategy must be present in the NinjaTrader instances of all nodes involved.

What This Means

For ATM Copy to work correctly, every Replikanto instance in your copy network must have:

• The same ATM Strategy name on all nodes
• The same ATM Strategy configuration on all nodes

This applies whether you're copying over the internet (Remote Copy) or on the same local network.

Why Consistency Is Required

When ATM Copy is enabled, Replikanto doesn't copy exit orders directly from the leader. Instead, it instructs the follower accounts to execute exit orders using their own ATM Strategy.

If the ATM Strategy on a follower node differs from the leader — either in name or configuration — the follower may not execute exit orders as expected, or may fail to execute them entirely.

Example Scenario

Correct setup:

• Leader: ATM Strategy named "MyStrategy" with specific profit targets and stop losses
• Follower 1: ATM Strategy named "MyStrategy" with identical profit targets and stop losses
• Follower 2: ATM Strategy named "MyStrategy" with identical profit targets and stop losses

Incorrect setup:

• Leader: ATM Strategy named "MyStrategy" with specific configuration
• Follower 1: ATM Strategy named "MyStrategy" but with different profit targets
• Follower 2: ATM Strategy named "DifferentStrategy" (wrong name)

How to Ensure Consistency

Best practice:

1. Create your ATM Strategy on one NinjaTrader instance
2. Export the ATM Strategy configuration
3. Import the same configuration on all other NinjaTrader instances in your copy network
4. Verify the strategy name appears exactly the same on all instances

Before using ATM Copy in production, test with a small trade to verify that all follower accounts execute exit orders correctly.

What Happens If Strategies Differ

If ATM Strategies are not consistent across nodes, you may experience:

• Exit orders not executing on follower accounts
• Exit orders executing with incorrect profit targets or stop losses
• Inconsistent behavior between different follower nodes

To avoid these issues, always ensure ATM Strategy name and configuration match exactly across all nodes before enabling ATM Copy.
