Replikanto simply displays the accounts that are connected to NinjaTrader — it does not control which accounts exist. Neither Replikanto nor NinjaTrader can remove an account from a broker connection.
Your broker controls which accounts are presented on the connection. If you want an account gone, you must contact your broker (your account provider) and ask them to remove it from your connection username. Once the broker does that, the account stops appearing in NinjaTrader, and therefore stops appearing in Replikanto as well.
What you can do in NinjaTrader
You cannot delete individual broker accounts, but you can remove an entire connection. Removing the connection stops all of its accounts from being displayed.
Before you start: enable Multi-provider
To manage connections in NinjaTrader, Multi-provider must be enabled.
- In the Control Center, open the Tools dropdown and select Settings.
- In the General section, check the box next to Multi-provider.
- Restart the platform.
After restarting, the configure button appears in the Control Center > Connections dropdown.
Remove a connection
- Open Connections > configure.
- In the Configured box, click the connection you want to remove.
- Click remove.
This removes the connection as a whole, along with every account it presented. It does not delete anything at the broker, and it cannot be used to drop a single account while keeping the others.
Simulation and Playback accounts
Simulation and Playback accounts are the accounts you can remove yourself. In the Control Center > Accounts tab, right-click the account you want to remove and select Remove Account.
Sim101 account
The Sim101 account is a local simulation account unique to each NinjaTrader Desktop installation, and it is not tied to a specific account username or connection. Sim101 cannot be removed, but it can be edited and reset:
- To edit it, right-click the account in Control Center > Accounts and select Edit Account.
- To reset it, click the reset button at the bottom-right of the Sim101 Account Properties window.
Additional simulation accounts
In Control Center > Accounts, right-click and select Add Simulation Account to create one, or Remove Account to delete it. Only custom simulation and Playback accounts can be removed — never the default Sim101, and never a broker account.
How this affects Replikanto
Replikanto shows every account currently connected to NinjaTrader. There is no removal step to perform inside Replikanto: once an account is no longer presented by the broker (or the whole connection is removed in NinjaTrader), it simply stops appearing in the Replikanto interface.
