To connect Tradovate accounts to Replikanto, you must first connect them to NinjaTrader, as Replikanto uses the accounts that are connected to NinjaTrader. Replikanto does not provide an interface for connecting to Tradovate; this is done through NinjaTrader. Once your Tradovate accounts are connected to NinjaTrader, Replikanto will display them and they can be used as leader or follower accounts.
Here's how to connect a Tradovate account to NinjaTrader:
- You can download the NinjaTrader Desktop platform by logging into your Tradovate account on the NinjaTrader Account Dashboard and clicking the Download button.
- Once NinjaTrader is installed, run it and enter your Tradovate username and password.
- After logging in, you can choose to trade in Live or Simulated Mode.
- Alternatively, if you have Multi-Provider Mode enabled, you can create a connection for your Tradovate account by selecting Connections > configure from the Control Center of NinjaTrader Desktop.
- Select NinjaTrader as the Connection Type and enter your Tradovate username and password, along with the trading mode.
To use multiple broker connections including Tradovate, you may need to turn on NinjaTrader's Multi-Provider Mode.
- To enable Multi-Provider, select Options from the Tools dropdown in the Control Center.
- Check the box next to "Multi-provider" in the General section of the Options window, then click OK.
- Restart your platform for the change to be fully applied.
- After restarting, the configure button will appear in the Control Center > Connections dropdown, allowing you to manually create any of your account connections.
- You can find more details on enabling Multi-Provider mode here: https://support.ninjatrader.com/s/article/NinjaTrader-Connection-Guide-Multi-Provider-Mode-Enabled
Once your Tradovate accounts are connected to NinjaTrader, they will be available to use in Replikanto.
- You can then select a leader account and link follower accounts in the Replikanto interface.
- You can configure multiple leader accounts by opening a new Replikanto tab for each leader.
It is also possible to use TradingView to trade on a Tradovate account connected to NinjaTrader and configured as a leader account in Replikanto. All trades placed in TradingView on the leader account will be captured by NinjaTrader and Replikanto and copied to the follower accounts.
